In our November 2021 CPD webinar we looked at:

  • The pros and cons of working as an independent vocational rehabilitation practitioner
  • Sourcing work
  • Types of work
  • Setting up as a self-employed practitioner
  • Potential earnings

This session addressed the issues to consider for those who are new to, or who are thinking of taking the leap, into independent practice.  It is also relevant for those who are concerned about IR35.

Your speakers

Helen Valls-Russell is an Occupational Therapist with many years of experience in vocational rehabilitation and is now Director at Ergocom. Ergocom provides independent and specialist assessments, along with successful return to work programmes for insurers, employers, and case managers.  Claire Morris is a Nurse, also with many years of experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, and is now in independent practice providing a range of vocational rehab services.  They recently delivered their new VR Practitioner Training which received fantastic feedback and which included guidance for working as an independent practitioner.
