When it comes to inclusion, neurodiversity refers to a world where neurological differences are recognised and valued as any other human variation. It is a frequently used umbrella term to describe people with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia (DCD), Dyscalculia, Autism and ADHD. Approximately 15% of the population have a neurodifference – representing a significant proportion of existing staff, job applicants and customers.

While expectations are growing for organisations to report on, act on, and advocate for individuals with a neurodifference in their workplaces, there remains limited practical advice or real-world experience on how to go about it.
Many organisations want to ‘get it right’ and leverage the unique strengths of neurodiverse talent. But what does that mean in practice?
