Empowering Clinicians to Identify Hidden Vestibular Barriers in RTW

Resource Updated:

Empowering Clinicians to Identify Hidden Vestibular Barriers in Return-to-Work

🗓️ Unlock the Missing Piece in Vocational Rehabilitation

Many clients struggle to return—or stay—at work due to subtle vestibular issues that go undetected. These hidden barriers can affect balance, cause fatigue, and disrupt daily function, yet they’re often missed in routine assessments.

We joined Consultant Vestibular Physiotherapist and award-winning educator Samy Selvanayagam for a transformative live session designed to equip vocational rehabilitation professionals with the tools to spot these red flags early and act decisively.

🔍 What We Learned

  • How vestibular dysfunction impacts work capacity and recovery
  • Practical screening tools to identify hidden symptoms
  • Key questions to ask during assessments
  • When and how to refer to vestibular specialists
  • Strategies to improve collaboration with employers and funders

Copies are available at a small cost. Please contact the VRA admin Team if required.

Copy of slides still to come.
