Save the Date !  20 June 2018

The Vocational Rehabilitation Association is delighted to announce that, in association with DWF Law, we are presenting a study day on topical issues of the day.  We are finalising the topics and final details of the day, which will take place in central London.

We are delighted to confirm that the Keynote Speaker opening our conference will be Dr Justin Varney, Consultant in Public Health, Public Health England.

The theme running through the day will be around supporting people back to work.  We are pleased to present topics around Public Health England (PHE) and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiatives to expand the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) programmes that have been so successful at supporting people with mental health conditions back in to the workplace. The plan is to extend the learning to other long-term conditions and open delivery paths to outside the NHS as it currently stands.  Senior decision makers are going to enlighten our delegates on the process and how it can impact service delivery of vocational rehabilitation in today’s UK which we believe will be of interest to all VR practitioners.

We are delighted to confirm that Professor Diana Kloss MBE, is going to enlighten us on the most up-to-date situation regarding the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Diana is a former employment judge and among her many accomplishments, she lectures internationally and has recently been made Honorary President of the Council for Work and Health in recognition of her services.  She is said to be the one of the most informed and informative when it comes to the new laws around data protection scheduled to come into effect at the end of May.

These are just a few of the highlights that we will bring to you on the 20th of June, so be sure and hold that date free and check our website for registration details.
