This year’s Dyslexia Awareness Week will take place from 1st – 7th October, with World Dyslexia Awareness Day being celebrated on Thursday 4th October. This presentation is intended to provide an understanding of, and supports those with, Dyslexia in the workplace. A key feature of this presentation is the British Dyslexia Association’s theme for this year… #21stCenturyDyslexia and Enabling Technologies (assistive technology).
Karen has worked for Unum for 4.5 years as a Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Consultant. Karen’s background is in Psychology and Psychotherapy. She is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, and specialises in Dyslexia, Stress Management and providing wellbeing strategy support and training for businesses. Karen created Unum’s Dyslexia service after identifying a client need, and has experience in Dyslexia screening and workplace adjustments for Dyslexia.
Sophie has worked for Unum for 13 years and is a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. Sophie’s background is in psychology. She is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and her specialist areas are Dyslexia, Mental Health and Stress Management. Sophie has been involved in delivering the Dyslexia Service offered by Unum for the last 2 years and has experience in Dyslexia screening and workplace adjustments for Dyslexia.
