DATE / TIME 23/07/2024
12:00 pm

This presentation will discuss the day to day running of an Occupational Therapy led Vocational Rehabilitation clinic in primary care and discuss assessment and intervention and the impact of the service.

An Occupational Therapy led Vocational Rehabilitation clinic has been developed within Hackney Marshes Primary Care Network with the use of ARRS funding. The service supports patients who have a musculoskeletal or mental health condition who have contacted their GP practice with a fit note request for time off work, or who are struggling to remain in work.

This presentation will provide a brief overview on the service and its outcomes but will focus on the practical aspects of assessment, engagement, intervention and managing expectations.

Your Speaker: Victoria Signorelli

Victoria qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2010 and is currently working as an Advanced Occupational Therapist in Vocational Rehabilitation. She is a passionate advocate for supporting people to return to and remain in work and the value of this on an individual’s health and wellbeing and in society in general. She currently works within the Hackney Marshes Primary Care Network, and Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust providing clinic based assessment and intervention to patients with MSK and common mental health conditions. She has worked predominantly with people with physical health conditions in acute and community settings within London, moving to the field of vocational rehabilitation in September 2023, a year after the service had been set up.
