Ergocom’s employability skills course supports those who will soon be ready to return to employment. Adopting a blended learning approach to build skills, confidence and self-efficacy, learners will have access to a wide range of resources.
Throughout the course learners will explore a wide range of core employability subjects such as identifying transferable skills, exploring career goals, CV’s, applications, cover letters, proactive job searching and interviews. Additionally, there is support and resources around more specific subjects such as disclosure, applying for university places, starting a business and becoming active on LinkedIn.
The course combines 12 hours of online delivery over 4 sessions, with 12 hours of self-directed learning and 6 months of post-course support.
All learners will be supported with producing a Personal Action Plan (PAP) and a CV that they will learn to tailor to each role they apply for. They will also receive a post course report outlining a summary of the sessions and suggested next steps that links with their PAP. Copies of the report will also be sent to their referrer.
